Always lending a hand and a word of wisdom to all he would meet. Everyone who would meet him would come to love him. Everyone who came in touch with him was in the presence of sheer intelligence and kind heartedness. He is survived by daughters Angela Smith Dixon (Eddie) Cary, NC and Amy Davis (George) Waldorf, MD. Dr. Smith would sing hymns and pray out loud in his later life and moments. He would gather others to improve their lives no matter what start in life they had. He was a believer in second chances and living your life for God. He held a life of servitude to others and a joy forever to his family and friends. His favorite all time saying was, Blessed Be the Ties that Bind, Our hearts in kindred spirits. Amen. What an Angel that has now ascended to Heaven. Forever in our Hearts.
